Briar Brushworks Drop: 2024-07-01

On Monday, July 1, at 5 p.m., Central time, Jon Hegedus of Briar Brushworks and I will be dropping 10 STUNNING brushes and two razors. All of the items in this drop will be crafted from briar wood, a material traditionally used in the making of pipes.

Jon's work is nontaditional in the very best way. He makes brushes that are uniquely shaped, but that fit the hand so well. He is adept at the dyeing and finishing of this very special wood, enhancing the brilliant grain. His brushes will all be sold with a variety of badger knots that will be detailed in their listings.

My contributions to this drop all include ferrules of ebonite, which is prized for pipe stems. I turned these works of art and sent them to Jon for finishing. My handles will all be sold complete with the v24 Fanchurian.
