Brush 5k and v25

I have been sweating brush #5,000 for weeks now. I knew it had to be special, but I've done so many crazy handles over the past eight years that I didn't know how to top them. I made a couple of blanks and decided that one of them would get a solid bronze, threaded ferrule and would be brush 5k.

Then I realized that a threaded ferrule meant BOTH of those blanks could be brush 5k!

The bronze ferrule was drilled and threaded by a local machinist, then turned to shape by me. The handles are both dyed ash burl hybrids with five flutes, and a threaded insert that allows you to swap the ferrule. They are also weighted, to help balance the otherwise top-heavy bronze ferrule.

AUCTION RULES:

  1. Bidding starts at $250.
  2. Bids will increase by a minimum of $5.
  3. Bidding ends on Thursday, August 22, at 5 p.m. Central Time.
  4. Bids placed withing the final 5 minutes will add 5 minutes to the auction until there are no bids in the last 5 minutes. This is to eliminate the scourge of sniping.
  5. The winner will have 24 hours to complete payment.

This brush is sold COMPLETE with the first 26mm v25 Fanchurian knot. The v25 debuts here and I am really happy with it. The tips are bright white and minimally treated. There are virtually no upside-down hairs in the ones I have checked. Density and backbone are on point for the Fanchurian line.

You'll also notice that the base is black. This is NOT an indication that I have changed suppliers. It is, in fact, something I requested from my supplier to show my customers that this is not an off-the-shelf- knot, and these are made to my specs. The v25 Fanchurian will not go on sale until AFTER the auction is complete and the brush has shipped.

The remaining v24 Fanchurians have been reduced in price. They are factory seconds with a few more upside-down hairs than I was comfortable with. If you are willing to take a pair of tweezers and pluk the offending hairs, you could score a great deal on a very solid knot.
