My son and I headed into the woods of the Ozark National Forest for a couple of cold, rainy days. We camped at one of our favorite spots along the North Fork of Illinois Bayou, and played a bit of Uno - you can tell I won by the look on his face.

The next morning, we drove Day One of the Ozark Overland Adventure Trail, which includes a lot of crossings of the bayou. We also attempted a nasty mud hole that I probably should have bypassed. We got stuck... hard. This was the first time I got to use my winch to recover myself.

Later, we met up with some friends and spent the afternoon chasing waterfalls in the Richland Creek Wilderness area. This wood was collected at the spectacular (if poorly named) Falling Water Falls.
