We haven't changed the specs for this badger knot since the release of V5. Still, variances in hair from batch to batch leads to unique shaving experiences.
v20 is very similar to the past two batches. It has soft tips without being excessively gelled. The backbone on these is wonderful, providing the scrub you need without any scritchiness. If you liked v18 (and I consider that my best batch to date), you'll love v20.
